Originally established as Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College in 1990, today Jain Universityhas become a cerebral destination for students in Bangalore and across the world.

Learning Management System
Keeping in sync with the latest technologies, Jain University has created the Centre for Distance Education and Virtual Learning which works on the concept of e-learning.
Jain University haspartnered with Lurningo, a platform for online learning.
The LMS acts as a web-based system, which allows students access to all the learning materials in one place.
The classes are pre-recorded but students can raise doubts about any topic to their concerned faculty immediately toabsorb as much as possible.
LMS also stores all the assignments and classes from the moment the student signs in, which means that students would never miss out.
The program lets studentstrack their progress and move at a steady pace which is suitable to their understanding.
Jain University Distance MCA
Jain University has also launched its AICTE approved Master of Computer Applications program.
The MCA program is a blend of both theoretical and practical knowledge and presents students’ an opportunity to work with tools designed to develop better and faster applications.
This program equips students with the knowledge of the development of application software for diverse fields to solve specific problems for the end-users or clients.
This MCA course is 100% online, delivered by renowned faculty, and can be completed part-time in as little as 24 months.

The program is for two (2) years.
Eligibility
For students to be eligible for this course, they must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% of total marks from a recognized University.
For the students who belong to the reserved category, a minimum of 45% of total marks is necessary.
The candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% of the total marks in the cognate/related subjects in the entire degree course.

Evaluation Process:
The faculties regularly conduct insightful sessions, provide timely assignments to assess one-self, and check one’s progress.
The evaluation process includes continuous assessments, home assignments, practical and term exams that include multiple choice and subjective questions.
Submission of assignments is compulsory for internal assessment.
Students who fail to submit the assignment are declared ineligible to sit for end term examinations.
