To get admission into Periyar Institute of Distance Education, students can apply through three mediums:

There’s an online application form available on the university website. The candidate can download the same and fill it. Students will be required to attach two passport size colour photographs along with all the documents required for the programmes.

If you wish to get the prospectus and application form by post, you will required to pay an additional amount of Rs. 50.

You need to submit two Demand Drafts - one to “The Director, PRIDE” which is payable at Salem, and the other to the coordinator of the study center that you choose.

Please note, your ID Card and Study Material will be provided to you by the same study center.

The Periyar University was established at Salem on 17th September 1997 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is accredited by NAAC with Grade A and covers four districts - Salem, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Namakkal.
