The second year has a total of 66 credits distributed equally among 11 subjects where 6 subjects are compulsory ones with dissertation being a practical subject, along with 5 subjects to be selected by the students as required. The compulsory subjects are as follows:

There are total three specializations available under Vardhman Mahaveer Open University distance education MBA program.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for admission in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University MBA, a student must be having a bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks or master’s or professional degree obtained from any recognised university or any professional experience of minimum 3 years.

Apart from this requirement, a student needs to appear for Management Entrance Test (MET) organised by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University or MAT/CAT/CMAT or any other recognised institute and present their score card to the institute along with other papers to complete the admission eligibility criteria.

Admission Process

For taking admission in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University MBA program, Applicants should first visit the regional centre to collect admission related information.   

One should be careful while filling the form as no changes will be allowed once submitted.

Applicant will then have to appear for the entrance exam as notified by the university.

After declaration of the result, students will be notified about the last date to clear the dues and enroll for Distance MBA in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University. The seat is allotted based on the marks received. The university reserves seats as per the government policy.

Fee Structure

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University MBA fee structure is very affordable. For Both Years- A sum of Rs.14600 is to be paid.

Payment can only be made through E-Mitra Kiosk, Internet Banking, Credit Card or Mobile Banking. No other mode of payment is allowed at Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University.

A learner is awarded the degree after he/she successfully completes the term end examinations with a minimum of 36% in all the papers.

Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University was established in 1987 in Kota as a pioneering institution for open learning which extended to the whole of Rajasthan.

The idea behind establishing of the full fledged Open University was the well managed distance education system of Rajasthan.

The university was formed by amalgamating two institutes i.e. Institute of Correspondence Studies and Continuing Education Jaipur and (College of Correspondence Studies) Udaipur with the aim to cover the larger population of the state, especially people of rural & remote areas, females, employed, etc. and provide a uniform standard of higher education.
